Monumental Cemetery, Cremona, Italy
Cremona’s Monumental Cemetery (Cimitero Monumentale di Cremona) contains a bust of Enzo Tarquinio, an artist who painted murals at the officers’ club at Camp Douglas, Wyo., during World War II. The bust stands along others in the “Viale degli artisti” (the street of the artists) near the Tarquinio family tomb. The cemetery is a ten-minute walk from the Cremona train station. Entrance is free. It is open most days from 8am – noon and from 2pm – 5pm. From October 27 to November 3 it is open from 8am- 6pm. On Christmas and Easter it is open only in the morning and it is closed on January 1.
