Atlantic City, Wyo., is located near South Pass at an elevation of about 7,600 feet in the foothills of the Wind River Range. The town is about 28 miles southwest of Lander. From Lander, follow U.S. 287 south for 8.5 miles to its junction with Wyoming 28. Follow Rte. 28 south and uphill for about 17 miles and look for signs to Atlantic City. The town is off to the left, about a mile and a half to the southeast of the highway. The Atlantic City Mercantile at 100 Main Street is open on weekends as of spring 2018.
