Wyoming Frontier Prison

The Wyoming Frontier Prison is located at 500 W. Walnut in Rawlins, Wyo. Annual activities include Halloween haunted night tours for persons aged 12 and older, and a Christmas bazaar held the first Saturday in December at the Jeffrey Center to benefit the Friends of the Old Pen, the nonprofit group that assists the WFP. Summer events sometimes include Friday the 13th tours in July, including showings of the movie, Prison. Night tours arranged by appointment are also available during the summer months. Tours are offered regularly from Memorial Day through Labor Day, seven days per week. The gift shop, which sells a variety of books chronicling the prison’s history, is also open during this time.
